NAV NAARI KUNJARA: THE SOUL OF INDIAN ART

Author : Dr. Kumari Rohini

Abstract

Indian painting possesses a long and distinguished tradition within the broader history of Indian art, though unfavourable climatic conditions have allowed only a few early specimens to survive. The earliest known examples are the prehistoric rock paintings, including the petroglyphs at the Bhimbetka shelters, some dating back nearly 10,000 years. This article is very helpful to explore the knowledge about the Nav Naari Kunjara- the soul of Indian art.
