Abstract

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar stands as a pivotal figure in India's social transformation, whose efforts as a reformer were instrumental in challenging and reshaping deeply entrenched social hierarchies. This study critically examines Dr. Ambedkar’s role as a social reformer, emphasizing his commitment to justice, equality, and human dignity. Through a detailed analysis of his writings, speeches, and reform initiatives, the research highlights his relentless fight against caste discrimination and social exclusion. Dr. Ambedkar’s advocacy for the rights of Dalits and marginalized communities laid the groundwork for a more inclusive society. His vision extended beyond mere legal reform; he sought to awaken social consciousness and promote educational empowerment as tools for social upliftment. The study explores his contributions to the drafting of the Indian Constitution, focusing on the integration of fundamental rights and affirmative action as means to address historic injustices.
