Abstract

Gandhiji described Truth and Non-violence is indistinguishable. Truth is the end and non-violence is the means. Gandhiji defined Satyagraha as the civic emphasis on perseverance in search for truth, with the goal of breaking down barriers of dogmatism, prejudice, self-righteousness, and selfishness in order to connect with and awaken the opponents soul. Throughout his Satyagraha, Gandhiji adhered to a number of fundamental ideals, including scenario analysis, methodical fact-finding, logical justification of goals of a public uprising to persuade opponents, and possibility of dialogue. Gandhiji defines the nation as- A nation is historically constituted, stable community of people formed on the basis of common language, territory, economic life, and psychological make-up manifested in a common culture. India was nation but British opined that India was never a nation because they were able to establish one kingdom. Subsequently they divided us. The Strength of Indian nation lies in the unity of its diversity.
