Abstract

This study will examine inter-state river water disputes in India with special reference to the Mahadayi River dispute involving Karnataka and neighbouring states. It focuses on the causes, water-sharing issues, legal proceedings, political concerns, and regional interests. The study also considers the dispute’s effects on agriculture, drinking water, environment and inter-state relations.
