Abstract
The vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, allied sectors such as horticulture, livestock, and aquaculture are key drivers of inclusive growth, nutritional security, employment, and exports. Supported by the National Agricultural Research System, horticulture has become a high-value, market-oriented sector, while livestock strengthened by institutions like the National Dairy Development Board enhances rural incomes and nutrition. Fisheries and aquaculture, promoted through schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana by the Department of Fisheries, further contribute to employment and foreign exchange earnings. With strong policy support and budgetary emphasis, these sectors are central to building a resilient, sustainable, and export-oriented rural economy by 2047.
