Abstract

Viksit Bharat 2047 is the Government of India's ambitious initiative to transform the nation into a fully developed, self-reliant, and prosperous country by 2047, marking 100 years of independence. The vision includes leveraging "Tradition to Technology" (T2T) in animal sciences, combining indigenous technical knowledge (ITK) with cutting-edge tools to achieve sustainable development. This involves establishing "sustainable landscapes" where biodiversity is preserved alongside economic progress. By 2047, the vision for Indian zoology is to create a future where natural habitats are protected, wildlife thrives in harmony with human development, and biodiversity serves as a foundation for economic resilience.
