Abstract

This study explores the significant contributions of Gijubhai Badheka made to Indian examination systems in the context of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It examines how Gijubhai's child-centered ideology and comprehensive approach to education form the cornerstone of contemporary assessment practices. The report highlights the need for reform to better match the goals of modern education while analyzing the flaws in the traditional Indian testing systems. Gijubhai's suggestions for fostering critical thinking, creativity, and emotional growth align with the NEP 2020's focus on diversity, competency-based learning, and formative assessments. This connection presents an opportunity to adapt Gijubhai's ideas to India's evolving educational landscape. The paper discusses several innovative assessment methods, including project-based learning, peer evaluations, and reflective practices, that are influenced by Gijubhai's theories. These approaches meet a variety of learning requirements, foster a more inclusive environment, and boost student involvement. This paper addresses the challenges of integrating traditional educational principles with modern frameworks, highlighting the importance of Gijubhai's contributions in developing a more equitable and effective assessment system. His approaches, which comprised project-based assessments, oral exams, and ongoing feedback systems, align with the NEP's goal of developing an adaptable and inclusive educational framework. This essay explores how Gijubhai's ideas have influenced modern evaluation procedures, emphasizing how applicable they are to tackling the problems facing the current educational system. This study highlights the possibility of converting Indian examination systems into more equal and efficient instruments for assessing student learning outcomes by fusing Gijubhai's ideas with the NEP 2020 guidelines.
